We are three friends scattered across the globe, each navigating life as gay Zimbabweans.
Our paths may diverge geographically, but our shared Zimbabwe LGBTQ+ culture and the struggles we face as queer men unite us. Living as gay Zimbabweans, especially in places where being openly queer is still stigmatized, is a constant challenge. But we’ve decided that instead of facing it alone, we’ll share our lives with you.
Our lives aren’t always glamorous. In fact, most of the time, they’re just ordinary. But there’s beauty and resilience in the ordinary. Sometimes our stories are filled with joy, laughter, and light; sometimes they’re heartbreaking, filled with pain and longing. But every part of our journey is worth sharing. Through these stories, we hope to inspire others, especially LGBTQ+ Zimbabweans living abroad or those within the country, who feel isolated and hidden. This space is for LGBTQ+ narratives from Zimbabwean men, and every voice counts.
We want you to know this: You’re not alone. As LGBTQ+ Zimbos navigating the world, we know that the challenges of being both African and queer can be isolating. But we’re building a community, and you’re welcome to be a part of it.
We believe in the power of stories. Not just ours, but every LGBTQ+ personal story that has yet to be told. Every queer story in Zimbabwe, every hidden voice that hasn’t yet found a safe space to speak. This platform is about creating a safe space for gay Zimbabweans to share stories, anonymous or public, without fear of judgment.
A safe space where your voice matters. Share your story, express your truth, and connect with the LGBTQ+ Zimbabwean community, whether you’re in Zimbabwe or abroad.
Living as a gay Zimbabwean can feel isolating, but by joining this community, you become part of a global movement that celebrates LGBTQ+ pride and gay life in Africa. Whether you’re in Zimbabwe or abroad, this space connects you with others who share your journey.
Sharing your story isn’t just about expressing yourself, it’s about building a collective narrative. Through anonymous confessions or personal experiences, we create a supportive community that amplifies LGBTQ+ Zimbabwean voices and unites allies worldwide.
